Standard Court Dimensions
The official beach volleyball court measures 16 meters long and 8 meters wide, which is approximately 52.5 feet by 26.2 feet. This size provides ample space for players to move and execute various skills during the game.
Court Markings and Lines
The court is marked with boundary lines that define the playable area. These lines are typically 5 centimeters wide and are made of a contrasting color to the sand, such as white or yellow, to be clearly visible.
Boundary Lines
The boundary lines include the sideline and end line. The sideline runs along the length of the court, while the end line marks the width at each end of the court. All plays must stay within these lines; if the ball touches or crosses outside, it is considered out of bounds.
Center Line
The center line divides the court into two equal halves for each team. It runs parallel to the sidelines and is positioned exactly in the middle of the court. Players are not allowed to cross this line during play, except when executing a jump or attack.
